Information We Collect

Qiblah does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. The app operates entirely on your device.

Location Data

The app requests access to your device's location to:

• Calculate the Qibla direction from your current position
• Determine accurate prayer times based on your geographic coordinates
• Find nearby mosques

Your location data is processed locally on your device and is never sent to any server, third party, or external service. Location data is not stored beyond the current session.

Camera Access

The app requests camera access solely to provide the Augmented Reality (AR) Qibla direction feature on iPhone. Camera data is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Compass and Motion Data

The app uses your device's compass and motion sensors to determine heading direction for the Qibla compass. This data is processed locally and is not stored or shared.

Notifications

The app may request permission to send local notifications for prayer time reminders, Iqama alerts, and Ramadan reminders (Suhoor, Iftar, hydration). All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Data Storage

Your preferences and settings (calculation method, notification preferences, Iqama times, prayer tracker data, and Tasbeeh count) are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and App Groups for widget and Apple Watch synchronization. This data never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

Qiblah does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services. The app does not contain ads.

Apple Services

The app uses the following Apple frameworks that may process data locally:

• MapKit for mosque search and map display
• ARKit for augmented reality features
• ActivityKit for Live Activities and Dynamic Island
• WidgetKit for Home Screen and Watch Face widgets

These services operate under Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Qiblah does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app does not require an account or collect any personal data from any user.

Data Sharing

Qiblah does not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with any third party. There is no data to share because no personal data is collected.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
