Everyday

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 27, 2026

Everyday ("the app") is a daily selfie journal that runs entirely on your device. We designed it so that you stay in full control of your photos and personal data — nothing about you is collected, transmitted, or sold. This policy explains exactly what data the app uses, why it needs each permission, and where that data is stored.

Summary: Everyday does not run servers, does not use analytics, does not contain advertising trackers, and does not share any information with third parties. Your photos and data stay on your device and in your own iCloud account.

1. Data the App Uses

Everyday only stores data that you create yourself by using the app:

We do not collect your name, email address, device identifier, IP address, advertising ID, or any other personal information.

2. Permissions and Why They Are Needed

Camera

Required to take a new selfie inside the app. The camera is only active while you have the capture screen open. The app does not record video or stream the camera feed anywhere.

Photo Library

Required to save new selfies to your Photo Library (in an album named "Everyday") and to read photos you choose to import during onboarding or from Settings. The app only reads photos that you select.

Location (When In Use)

Optional. If you grant access, the approximate location at the moment you capture a selfie is embedded in the photo's EXIF metadata — exactly like the system Camera app does. Location data is never transmitted off your device by the app. You can deny or disable this permission at any time in iOS Settings without affecting any other functionality.

Notifications

Optional. Used only to send you a local daily reminder to take your selfie. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device through Apple's local notifications system. No notification content is sent through a remote server.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any of your data to third parties. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There is no developer-operated backend service that receives data from the app.

5. Children's Privacy

Everyday is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app does not collect personal data at all, there is no child-specific data to manage.

6. Your Choices

You can, at any time:

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in the next app update's release notes.
